Gibson "Exploder" Explorer '76

This is how i bought it, totally original

Aluminium rusty plate

Didn't like it really..

EMG KFK set

Contains EMG 81 and 85 and PA2 switch, with all the needed wires.

Removing

Removed strings, bridge, tune-o-matic, pickguard..

Desolder

Desoldered the switch..which was useless as i had to re-use it and it's cable heh.

References

Made some reference pictures, then had to desolder..

Totally awkward empty guitar

Totally bare Explorer, you can even see the floor through it, heh!

New stuff in

The back of it, with new POT meters and the diagram/manual on top.

Lengthen wires and mess

Had to almost lengthen every damn wire that was in the package, as seen here and fitted one pickup in, yeah!

Final product

And here we have it, in it's full glory..notice the extra tiny switch on the pickguard (PA2 switch, for 20db extra gain), custom pickgaurd, painted the tip of the pickup switch from créme colour (eewww) to black and and extra new 1/4 jack on my old wire..looks nice on the guitar when plugged in.
